Yesterday i happened to get a fellblade gifted to me. And me being a fan of big swords

, i was thinking of a fun way to use it on my derv. I alrdy had a swordbuild on my derv which used the +dmg from Lyssa and the high attack rate of a sword do dis out considerable dmg. But then i thought: Grenth + Sword and Shield ---> badass look

After that i started thinking: mmm my fellblade is R12, which is kinda meh. Then i got the idea to completly forget about the actual dmg of the sword and go with the lifestealing. I went /Rt and took nightmare weapon with me. At 12 channeling that steals up to 42 extra health.

I went to try this on the MoD and got a fairly low DPS of 20-30 on auto-attack (nightmare only lasts 3 attacks which is meh when under IAS)
I ended up taking a hero with a second copy of Nightmare weapon. This increased my DPS to about 130 with just auto-attacks and its completly armor-ignoring.

Heres my current bar:

"AoG"
"Eternal Aura"
"Heart of Fury"

So my question would be, what skills could i take to increase my DPS even more. Maybe Order of the Vampire? or a third copy of Nightmare? Any ideas are welcome.

I am the strongest? Doesn't that add + damage on attack...which nightmare negates for life stealing?

Drop /rt and bring whirlwind attack?

I agree with IronSheik. Nightmare Weapon reduces the damage you deal and replaces it with lifesteal, which is good for unbuffed auto-attacks, since they are armor-reduced, but since the bonus damage from buffs is armor-ignoring, you're just wasting a secondary an skill slots, especially if you are self-buffing with IatS!".

As with any Physical, you'll do well to have Support Casters on Buff Duty - Strength of Honor, OotV, OoP+Dark Fury, GDW, etc. Nightmare Weapon is going to basically change some of that damage to lifesteal, which I don't think is a good use of the skill slot, especially on your Derv - you could be doing things to get more damage, like a few of distilled will's suggestions.

"FGJ!" - extra Adrenaline is never a bad thing, especially when you want to spam attacks and "SY!"
Eternal Aura - maintainable AoG
Avatar of Grenth - Lifesteal Elite you wanted to use
Flurry / Frenzy - maintainable IAS
Rush - cancel Stance/IMS
Sun and Moon Slash - unblockable 2 hit attack
Whirlwind Attack - AoE attack
"SY!" - because +100AL to your teammates within earshot kicks ass

This is a pretty crappy build, tbh, but it's the best I could think of off the top of my head.

You'll definitely need Support Buffers for this to be of any real use, and even then, since AoG deals Cold damage, you aren't going to get any synergy with MoP if you bring a Curse Necro with you, which = /sadpanda.

D/W sword build

|100 blades|Whirlwind|I am the strongest/asuran scan|
Simple and effective, Dervish sword with other skills is nice, but this one though limited when 100blades isnt active is possibly the best one for holding agro, and dealing dmg.
(have a rit or someone behind you with splinter weapon and you're GOLDEN)

There are MANY ways of keeping yourself alive by useing earth prayers, or mysticism, and if you want to have a prot monk back you instead of use self heals you can bring some more attack increaces or AoE skills.

Avatar of Grenth makes your weapon cold, so OotV wouldn't improve damage, but would pump out plenty of energy, but that could be accomplished easier with other Orders.
